The question is what process do you need to go through to start writing down your goals and dreams?
Here are the exact steps I have taken:
1. What are several physical, spiritual, and financial goals you can think of that you would like to have, do, or attain? (This step alone may take a while.) Write them down on paper (keeping them in your head will not work) — a short pencil is better than a long memory!
2. Set a date as to when you would like to achieve each of these, as well as a date for when you intend to start (hopefully right then, and not after the holidays).
3. Take action by writing down detailed steps as to what you need to do to reach them (showing up earlier to work, getting out of bed earlier, change of diet, new exercise regimen, etc.)
4. Take these thoughts, plans, and desires to your Creator and ask Him about these things and if they are in harmony with what He has planned for your life. (The sweet whisperings of the Holy Spirit over time will tell you in your mind, and in your heart what you shall do. If they are not right, you will know. Take your plans to Him and sincerely seek out what is best.)
Start immediately pursuing what you feel at peace about.
From here, what some of you will face is impatience. Most of us, including myself, are impatient people. The best advice I was ever given on this subject was by Robert Kiyosaki who said,
“You must learn to delay gratification or you will always be poor. Impatience is usually a sign of immaturity.”
